About Us

We are long-time outdoors people who live in a suburb of Portland Oregon. We have a long history of backpacking and back-country and alpine skiing. John is now retired and Joanie will be shortly.

Our vision is to explore the wild and scenic areas of North America but not in a big RV. Our travels will be in a Fleet pop-up camper from Four Wheel Campers in Northern California. The pop-up rides in the bed of a Toyota Tacoma Access Cab truck. The mission is to revisit (with long stays) at some of our favorite places (Bryce, Zion, Glacier) and discover new favorites (North Cascades).

Someone once said, 'the business of life is collecting memories'. This blog is intended to capture some of them that we collect in our travels.
